Effective suspenser from Stormy and Brad
lor_2 March 2020
Stormy Daniels as screenwriter has a great affection for traditional Hollywood genre films, evidenced in this well-done, unpretentious Devinn Lane vehicle for Wicked Pictures, directed by Brad Armstrong.

It has a familiar slasher movie format, centered around a 10-year school reunion with a maniacal serial killer (who has a Captain Hook weapon for a hand) on the loose. Lane plays the local small-town sheriff's deputy, working on the case with FBI agent Randy Spears. She had a similar role in "Without a Trace" 3 years earlier.

Stormy only appears on screen briefly in a flashback that explains the killer's motivation. A solid femme supporting cast headed by Ava Vincent and Jessica Drake is on hand.

I was disappointed that many prominent players in NonSex roles received no screen credit (or identification), but was able to spot Shelby Stevens (makeup lady on the crew) and my favorite Lauren Kain in a diner scene, Kain being memorable in Mandingo's best vignette of all time: in "Once You Go Black 4".
