One of prolific Dorcel director Herve Bodilis's more arousing features, "Obsessions" blew me away with its parade of utterly beautiful women, one spectacular performer after the other. Today's parade of lovelies has a sameness (and familiarity) that this forgotten collection of no-name talent transcends.
I suppose that's in part due to porn's meat grinder effect: a performer catches on and is suddenly in not a dozen but a hundred different videos before either burning out or headed towards the hall of fame.
All the story is in voice-over narration, with the cast performing pantomime sex. The premise is an oldie: a woman discovers that the tiny fertility fetish-stature her husband brought home has the effect of an aphrodisiac and the instant arousal compulsion is passed from person to person. That's about it, making for eight hot sex vignettes including orgies.
Daniella Schiffer (in the lead role) and Angel Dark are the most beautiful of the bunch, but there are 10 fabulous femmes in all. Wicked Pictures routinely distributed the Dorcel product back then and might think about reissuing or remaking this one, which is far superior to the average junk being ground out (by either Dorcel or Wicked) these days.
