Imaginative and impressive animation easily carry it the three minutes

In a rural community backed onto by a forest, a cat traps and eats and mouse before heading off on its day. However when the cat finds itself being followed by a dog it sparks off a series of bloody attacks that involve a great deal of eating.

Being a Blackwatch short film I was looking forward to it because I cannot think of a single animated short that they have made that I have disliked. And so, despite the fact that it made no sense to me, I enjoyed this one. The plot sees characters eating one another and building to a revenge conclusion however I couldn't find any meaning in it or any narrative to really care too much about. Were this a 3 hour film then that would be a problem but in a 3 minute short it has less of a negative impact – particularly when it is so coolly animated and stylish.

The film looks great and the animation is technically impressive while also still have a real imaginative touch to it and a visual style that will appeal to many. While Blackwatch have no one style that I could quote at you, they definitely deliver quality products and, while not making a great deal of sense or being that great, this is still a professional and curiously engaging animation.
