Storyline
Plot Summary |
In 1960, lawyer Paul Wegener founded a law firm together with his friend and colleague Horst Bauer. Wegener's wife Vera is pregnant. One evening she has insomnia and takes a tablet of thalidomide, a popular sleeping pill that her doctor recommends as harmless. She gives birth to a child who is missing both arms and one leg.
