Not among Jim Powers' best, "Model Behavior" lacks the thrills, both sexual and story-oriented, of Sin City features during the halcyon years of that late, lamented labels. We're left with a talented cast but weak (Powers also wrote the screenplay) drama.
It's one of those "I'll make you a star" stories, in which in-fighting, favoritism and jealousy are the main themes. Casting of relatively underrated actresses like Dani Summer and Euro Porn star Barbara Summer in lead roles is a plus, but I just couldn't get into the story. That means the feature defaults into the usual: enjoy the d.p.'s and other strong sex content, or suffer through the thousandth utterance of "Droppin' Loads!" by one-note Nick Manning.
Overall, a disappointing DVD given the high quality of its peers.
