Go, Greyhound, and Leave the Driving to Us
boblipton8 August 2012
I never met a dog who had more interest in automobile design than could he come along and stick his head out the window, but this Jam Handy short subject in their long-running series of promotional films for Chevrolet tries to draw parallels between dog breeds and the things we want from our cars and concludes -- unsurprisingly -- that all the things you want from your your dog are available in your 1938 Chevrolet. No mention is made of the ability to chase a stick and bring it back, but doubtless engineers are still working on this key feature.

This one strives to offer a feel-good attitude towards car ownership and gives us lots of pleasant images of sheepdogs and terriers towards this message.
