This 1961 episode was never released into syndication, due to the fact that the second attempt to murder Pauline Grant bears an unfortunate similarity to the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963.
Yvonne Craig's character, Kristan Royal, is said to be 18 years old. In reality, Yvonne Craig was 24 years old at the time of this episode.
Yvonne Craig (as Batgirl) would work again with Victor Buono (as King Tut) in the Batman (1966) episodes The Unkindest Tut of All (1967) and I'll Be a Mummy's Uncle (1968), as well as in the epilog set-ups for those storylines in the episodes A Horse of Another Color (1967) and The Great Train Robbery (1968), respectively. Decades later, Efrem Zimbalist Jr. would supply the voice of Alfred the Butler in various animated Batman projects. Zimbalist worked with Buono in a total of five "77 Sunset Strip" episodes, and with Craig in four episodes as well as the feature film By Love Possessed (1961).
Louis Quinn (Peter Roscoe) and Yvonne Craig (Kristan Royal) share a brief scene at the end of this show, but no dialogue. They would share a bit more in the Batman episode The Joke's on Catwoman (1968) as Mr. Keeper and Batgirl, respectively.
Neither one of the two "Santa Claus" actors are credited in this show.
