Jeff is hired by Mrs. Dolan, who is sure she saw her husband of seven years, Herbert Dolan, from afar, he who walked out on her and their two children four years ago with whatever he could take. The problem is that he was reported as dead one year ago. Her certainty in that who she saw was him is compounded by the fact that his dead body was identified only by the items, such as papers, on his person as he was physically unidentifiable otherwise. While her gut motivation is revenge on him, Mrs. Dolan truly really wants to put Mr. Dolan behind bars so that she can get back what is rightfully hers and their children's. In following the leads, Jeff finds who Mrs. Dolan probably saw, he who is either Mr. Dolan or a doppelganger. In following his movements, what Jeff believes he's stumbled onto is an insurance scam. Rather than expose Dolan right then and there, Jeff is convinced, in part financially, by Mr. Clark of the insurance company being hit to dig a little deeper in not only exposing Dolan, but discovering the entire expanse of the scam to nail all involved. In taking a risk in the matter, Jeff may find himself on the wrong end of the scam itself.
