This was the third of four episodes produced during a writers' strike and credited to W. Hermanos, as in Warner Brothers. The story is credited to Roy Huggins, the series' creator who had long since left the show.
The sleazy tycoon played by Tyler McVey is named Philip Van Zandt, no doubt a hat-tip to Philip Van Zandt, the recently-deceased actor who specialized in playing such characters.
This is the second time Jeff ends an episode saying that he'll go home and watch Bronco (1958), both times an expression of dejection in being dateless for the evening.
Stuart and Jeff have an association with Hawaiian Eye Private Investigations, one of their investigators being Tracy Steele. Efrem Zimbalist Jr.'s daughter, Stephanie Zimbalist, would go on to have her own television association with a private investigator with the surname Steele, namely Remington Steele (1982) (despite that latter Steele being totally made up by her character, Laura Holt).
