- Synopsis S 1 Ep 6 Night of Terror An evening outside at the Rest Well motel cabins, the radio is playing, the caged bird chirping, in the office a lamp is turned on its side, the owner, Mrs. King, is lying face down behind the front desk of this quaint little inn. Our intrepid reporter happens into the office, rings the bell, calls out hello, nobody responds, when she finds the owner face down, bleeding but with a pulse, an ugly scar-faced man ignores her sympathy for the injured woman, pushing Lois, then slugging her to the floor, meanwhile, entering is another mongrel hoodlum conferring with his confederate. "She got tough and I had to clip her," the scarred thug quips. Solly and Mitch are the two assaulting women, they identify Lois as a newspaper reporter, locking them in cabin two and they are waiting for another hit-man, Baby Face Stevens, to arrive and finish the two ladies off. These two mugs talk like crooks from the big city, crude, rude and unmistakenly bad, furthermore, they are 'not good enough' to finish their captives, they have to wait for Stevens. Mitch removes the small placards showing 'no vacancy' on the motel sign, while Solly moves the car out of sight. Lois has revived Mrs. King, learning Solly killed her husband Frank and Mitch knocked her out. Mrs. King explains what exactly the men were doing. Being some twenty miles from Canada, they would hide their fugitives, and at night, sneak them over the border. Frank tried to call the police and was killed. With no phones in the cabins, Lois is able to escape out the cabin window to the phone booth, calling Clark, she gets Jim Olson, giving Jim the name of the motel with instructions for Clark when he returns. Lois is able to at least make contact before Sully grabs her, she screams and he hurls her back to cabin two. Jim leaves a note for Clark Kent, Rest Well cabins Hwy. 15 in the Blue Hills, with Miss Bachrach, who in turns places the note on Clark's desk, and closing the door, the note is blown to the floor, where the janitor picks it and puts it in the trash to be burned soon with the rest of the waste paper. Clark gets no results from Miss Bachrach's memory of the note contents, nor does he have any luck with the janitor burning the trash. He calls tourist information for any lodging similar names with 'Well' in the name. He gets three different names from the source and he is off to save Lois. Olson arrives at the motel where he is mistaken for hit-man Stevens, entering cabin two with Sully's gun and two bullets, he finds the women tied together, untying them, he asks Miss Lane to think how he is to get them out safely, because Sully and Mitch want results now. Superman first stops at Wishing Well Cabins, no results from the owners. Baby Face arrives, proves his identity to Solly and Mitch in crude fashion, proceeds to cabin two, waving his hat at the door, Jim shoots at the hat and the back window. Superman stops at Sleep Well Cabins, no Lois Lane, per the owner. The three hoods enter cabin two, Baby Face unloads the extra bullets from his gun cartridge, hands them to Solly, Superman enters, slugging it out with the three. All are safe being they Lois, Mrs. King and Jim.
