- Dan put alcohol in Nelson's orange juice on a night out. The next morning Nelson has no memory of the night before and the lady Nelson was seen leaving the pub with arrives in emergency unconscious and assaulted. Scott quits the ambulance service.—Libby B
- Nelson inadvertently drinks alcohol while attending Scott's farewell bash when Dan has a double shot of vodka added to his OJ). Next thing he knows, he wakes up in his flat the next morning with a screaming hangover and no recollection of what he did the night before. Sherry Deaver, is brought into Emergency, the victim of a bashing and possibly raped as well. Dan tells Nelson that he saw him leave the pub with Sherry but Nelson doesn't remember a thing. When the police become involved, Nelson is unable to explain his movements of the night before except to say he believes Sherry and he were together in his flat. Nelson becomes suspect number one. People start looking at him sideways, all except Terri, who stands by him without question. Elsewhere, Cate finds out that Scott has resigned from the Ambulance Service. She has mixed feelings about it and soon realises she's not sure how she feels about Scott. For a while there, she thought she and Scott had something special, but now she's not so sure. The answer to her question comes in the form of two patients in their 70s, Neville and Gladys Baines. Through them, Cate discovers whatever it was she felt for Scott it wasn't enduring love. And it allows Cate and Scott to make peace before he goes. Vincent continues to wonder what the point to everything is now that Grace is dead. He is reluctantly forced to take on a new Intern, Maggie West, and due to his lack of enthusiasm for life in general and Interns in particular, he treats her like crap. She complains but Frank shrewdly decides not to carpet a fragile Vincent. It makes Vincent realise that sooner or later, he's going to have to pick up the pieces and move on - without Grace.
