- A new dating service wants to test out its questionnaire that is meant to find people with common interests and pursuits. They focus on Mayberry and soon Goober is filling out the questionnaire. Opie tries to tell him that he's not answering the questionnaire correctly - such as saying he read 30 books a month when in fact he reads that many comic books - but Goober perseveres. Soon, he's on a date with the highly educated designer of the questionnaire and it becomes painfully apparent that they have little in common. As things develop however, she soon finds there may be some advantage to the lifestyle and attraction of small-town living.—garykmcd
- Tired of Goober always being the fifth wheel when Andy and Sam take their girls out, they talk him into filling out a questionnaire for a new computer dating service. Refusing to listen to Opie while filling out the form, some of Goober's answers are misleading but he sends it in and is soon matched up with Dr. Edith Gibson, who wrote the questions and is trying out the program herself. On their date at Morrelli's the two quickly realize that they are mismatched, but the initial awkwardness passes and they have an enjoyable evening, neither expecting to see the other again after this meeting. Later Dr. Gibson rethinks her questions and her assumptions behind them and revises the questionnaire. In the end, she and Goober see each other again.—bobbymaxwell
