A Tale of Two Klutzes
Hitchcoc25 December 2019
The story is simple. Bee loses a valuable brooch. Andy tells her to file an insurance claim and she does. But the brooch shows up. Meanwhile, Warren and Goober are doing their Laurel and Hardy routine and end up causing a problem. It's a decent episode. One interesting thing is how Opie is overly persistent in getting his way. He becomes downright obnoxious, which is different.

ANOTHER DISPOSAL?

Aunt Bee thought she lost a valuable brooch, which she actually left in her painting smock. When she received the money from the insurance claim, Aunt Bee bought a disposal she had her eye on for quite awhile. What I find interesting is that in an earlier episode Aunt Bee had kept a disposal and tv she had won on a TV game show, while returning the remainder of her prizes to pay the gift tax. So, why did she buy another disposal? I think the writers goofed! LOL!

Mostly a dud episode

Jack Burns & George Lindsey liven things up a little with some humor. We see future Howard Sprague (Jack Dodson) as also stiff insurance man Ed Jenkins. Ed Jenkins dislike of claims was a highlight. Everything else was very forced, and lifeless humor. The missing pin theme just wasn't that funny to dominate the show.
