I expected a little much more from this story written by the great William Burnett. Even with John Ireland very brilliant as a large scale hood, I hardly kept attention to this episode, not the best of the series. But it remains worth for noir atmosphere fans as I am. I simply waited for something else. No many action scenes, for this cat and mouse game between cops and gambling gang operators. Good acting although, very professional piece of work in making and editing. Characters are the most interesting here, besides the foreseeable story, the kind we have already seen a hundred times before. I'll keep speaking about the other episodes not commented yet.
