This episode marks the first appearance of Bob, and at this stage I don't think they could have dreamed that one day he would become a regular on the show. At this stage he seems so 'out there' that he almost grates against the other more grounded characters present.
This is another stellar episode though, quality from top to bottom, with a twist at the end that is actually very moving. And this is so say just a silly sitcom. No sir, not 'Becker' - this is a show that can be both funny and touching all at once, and pull it off with aplomb.
