The second of three episodes where Darrin has to travel back in time to rescue Samantha who has also lost her memory.
First episode showing the new kitchen set. The old kitchen set was damaged by a fire. The show has lost its trademark green look: gone is the Stephens' overpowering avocado-green shaggy carpet (from stairs and living room), and it is now replaced by a gaudy beige-y gold one. The green wall paint has equally been changed, and Samantha now appears to wear less green, her wardrobe's trademark witchy color.
In September 1969, the kitchen already been redesigned. After returning from Salem filming trip, the kitchen was remodeled, again, after fire virtually destroyed the set. They made corrections they missed in September like putting in a refrigerator next to the hallway door. Also, they returned things found in the 1964 kitchen. Island is in the middle of the room; double wall stoves that were on the dining room wall are on the sink wall. Of the remaining changes, a staircase that seems to go no where particular. Of the remaining changes, Samantha's fancy hinged stove she used religiously to baste roasts and chickens in early episodes is gone.
In the teaser, Darrin refers to their flight and says, "I didn't ask for The Proud Witch with the Golden Nose." This is a reference to the slogan for then-popular Continental Airlines, "The Proud Bird with the Golden Tail."
Spell to send Darrin back to Old Salem: "Days become seconds, seconds become night, into the past with the speed of light."
