When the rope breaks whilst lifting the wagon, Victoria goes over to Heath and places a large blanket under his head. She accidentally knocks Heath's hat over in the mud. In the next scene, it is back in the original location, but has mud marks. Later in the show, the hat is clean of any mud or stains.
Dixon says a bullet will remove the rivet from the ankle chain, but Victoria unscrews a hex head bolt and drops it on the ground.
At the beginning, Heath and Victoria are leaving the house on the wagon and right after they hit the hole, the wagon cracks. Prior to this and before the episode's opening credits, the wagon is shown being driven by Heath with Victoria beside him.. However, it is not Lee Majors driving the wagon; it appears to be a much older man (a stand-in) with a stand-in for Barbara Stanwyck also.
After Heath is trapped under the heavy wagon in the mud, Victoria returns and grabs a lantern so Heath will have light. She takes a match from Heath's shirt pocket and lights the lantern. The moisture and mud are already up to his pocket so the match would have been too soggy to light.
The horse pulling the wagon that Victoria uses to go find help, mysteriously turns into the horse we usually see Jarrod ride. Watch the blaze on the palomino's face.
