Plot Summary

While the gang is encouraged by Giles to prepare a surprise party for Buffy's 17th birthday, she has nightmares about Angel being vanished by Drusilla, who has indeed survived the fire with Spike and is preparing a revenge 'party'. They find out the hard way, by finding one of the severed armored body parts of the Judge, a terrible demon who can not be killed by any weapon and is designed to destroy all righteous people, which the vampires are reassembling. Trivia Begins a tradition of Buffy birthdays gone awry, although Buffy does not celebrate her birthday on-screen in the final season. Her birthday takes place in Season Three (Helpless (1999)), Season Four (A New Man (2000)), Season Five Blood Ties (2001) and Season Six (Older and Far Away (2002)), when Spike suggests Buffy to not celebrate her birthday anymore. Goofs Buffy makes a grievous error while discussing her dream about Drusilla. She comments that Dru could be alive since a body was never found. As the Slayer, Buffy knows that Dru couldn't be alive if there's no body, since vampires turn to dust when slain. See more »

Quotes Oz: I'm gonna ask you to go out with me tomorrow night. And I'm kinda nervous about it, actually. It's interesting.
Willow Rosenberg: Oh. Well, if it helps at all, I'm gonna say yes.
Oz: Yeah, it helps. It-it creates a comfort zone... Do you wanna go out with me tomorrow night?
Willow Rosenberg: Oh, I can't!
Oz: Well, see, I like that you're unpredictable.
