While investigating the death of a young student. It's believed that it might have something to do with drugs. But the boy's father claims he was not a user or a dealer. Later the trail leads to another student who comes from an affluent family and when Stella comes down on her hard, her father lodges a complaint against her. But at the beginning of the episode, that part of the hallway leads to the neighbor's apartment and nowhere else. If they'd wanted to actually leave the building they should have turned left.
