I think this is one of the more famous episodes in the history of this great comedy show of the early 1960s. It's certainly one I and my friends all remember. I've seen several times over the years and viewing it again the other day on a pristine DVD transfer, it was still good.

The most memorable might be when nothing was said, when "Charlie Fleischer" (Mickey Deems) froze on the Jack Paar Show (Tonight Show) with substitute host Hugh Downs. The look on Deem's face was fantastic, and how it held it that long was amazing. Later, "Gunther Toody" (Joe E. Ross) winds up in the same predicament as Nat Hiken and the writers used to love to milk a good joke for as long as they could in the half hour alloted.

Downs was good in here, too. He played his role to perfection.
