They survive and are nurtured by a Tibetan tribe, presided over by an elderly lama, who give them super-human strength, telepathic powers and augmented hearing. This allows them to best their pursuers and return to Geneva, though they keep their promise to the old lama not to divulge to their boss Tremayne - or anybody - how they have obtained their new strengths.—don @ minifie-1
- Craig Stirling, Richard Barrett and Sharron MaCready are agents of the organization known as Nemesis who operate out of Geneva, Switzerland. They are sent on a mission to China to obtain a bacteria that the Chinese have been working on. While escaping the clutches of the Chinese guards, they make it to their getaway plane. While boarding the plane and making good that escape, they are hit by gun fire which ultimately results in them crashing in the mountains of Tibet. They are rescued and cared for by a mysterious group who are living in a lost city. While they are being looked after they are endowed with amazing powers that increase their ability to hear, sometimes over immense distances. They are also immensely strong and can feel each others pain and distress when in trouble. They are captured by the Chines while making their way through the mountains. They come to realize just what their new found powers actually are and use them to effect their escape back to Geneva. Their boss, Tremayne, finds it hard to believe they could have survived quite so easily. They resist the temptation to tell him about their rescuers and benefactors, making good a promise made to the old man who led them. The first episode of an immensely popular late 1960's series that ran for a further 29 more after this excellent opening salvo. Happy memories indeed for this reviewer. . . . .
