Graffiti in Billy Sako's jail cell: "When do I get out of this stinking place", "Hey anyone", "Smoke is a dog".
The end dance, featuring the tribal dance group from Honolulu's Pacific Polynesian Cultural Center, is a combination of Tahitian Tamure and the Hawaiian Hula. The women's hips rapidly rotating in a figure eight is from Tahiti but Tahitian dancers typically rested their hands upon their hips. The hand movements are taken from the Hula, a dance that is mainly hand gestures with minimal side-to-side hip swaying. Tahiti's dance is rapid-fire, animated, and very sexy; whereas Hawaii's hula is slow and slightly sultry.
The dancers' tall headdresses and grass skirts are pure Tahiti; Hawaiians wore only a wreath of leaves on their heads and skirts of ti' leaves.
