On the reservation
bkoganbing12 April 2020
Morgan Woodward heads an outlaw gang of ex-army riff-raff like himself who plunder and pillage Indian villages. But when Woodward shoots Valentin DeVargas down on the streets of Cimarron, that's when Stuart Whitman starts a manhunt on the reservation.

Whitman gets wounded in a gun battle Woodward and his gang. But who saves him is a young white former captive of the Indians played by Tuesday Weld. In the title role of this episode Weld excels as a girl who was saved by Woodward to become his squaw eventually. But Whitman to her is something better in the male species she can aspire to.

Woodward, Weld, and DeVargas give outstanding performances. She shows her that she can be more than a teenage tease which was what she had been playing.

Definitely for fans of Tuesday Weld.

A bandit gang has killed someone...and Marshall Crown chases them all by himself. That seems like a good plan!

When the story begins, you see that a gang led by Logan Purcell (Morgan Woodward) is terrorizing the local Indian tribe. Unfortunately, it's outside of Marshall Crown's jurisdiction so there doesn't appear there's much he can do. But when Purcell guns down a native in the town of Cimarron, it is his business and so Crown pursues Purcell to his hideout. Now, considering Purcell heads a gang of cutthroats, the Marshall going alone seems pretty dumb...and, not surprisingly, he gets shot instead of capturing Purcell. Fortunately, he's found by a woman named Heller (Tuesday Weld) and she nurses him back to health. But it's not all good...as Heller is Purcell's property...or so he treats her! What's next? See the show...or not.

This is a decent episode apart from how dumb it seemed for Marshall Crown going after a gang of criminals all alone. I cannot imagine anyone doing that. But apart from that, it's a pretty good episode. However, I was not really fond of the ending...it seemed so familiar...too familiar.
