- To clear the way for 5000 troops through a dangerous mountain pass, Hanley must blow up a German observation post. To succeed this time, a cocky sculptor who's now a demolition man is added to the stripped-down mission, in place of Hanley's sleep-deprived full squad. The all-business Lt. Hanley and the arty rock-hound Velasquez immediately clash, because the Corporal can't stop examining the local geology or expounding about the ancient rock fortress which became a famed museum, and is now the forbidding, mountain-top Heer post.—David Stevens
- After a tough mission, Lt. Hanley and Kirby are assigned to guide the demolition expert Cpl. Velasquez to a German observation post on the top of a rock to blow up the spot since ten thousand Allied soldiers will be crossing the nearby valley on the next day. Along their journey, there is friction between Hanley and Velasquez that is more interested in examining the geology of the location. Velasquez identifies the ideal location to blow up the observation post in a vault dug in the mountain. But when he sees the treasure hidden in the vault, he refuses to blow up the place. What will Hanley do?—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Lt. Hanley, Kirby and a demolitions expert Velasquez [Charles Bronson] set off to try to blow up a German Observation post and after managing to bypass the German defences find that the OP has been built into the ruins of a demolished castle that once held one of the greatest private art museums in the world. While setting their charges Velasquez comes across all the works of art hidden in an underground chamber and tells Hanley he won't set off the changes and destroy such beautiful works of art. Hanley tells him that the Americans are to advance in the morning and if they don't destroy the OP they will be able to direct huge fire onto the advancing Americans. Velasquez is wounded trying to run away and manages to lock Hanley out of the hidden room. As Hanley and Kirby make a run for it, Velasquez sets off the shages and brings the whole mountain down on the German OP and the underground museum, killing himself in the process.
