The Oxford Five?
13Funbags19 May 2017
This episode is a parody of The Cambridge Five.A group of commie spies who were recruited at Cambridge University in the 1930s.Ironically, I have just read a book about Stalin's spies so I actually got the joke.I'm sure having it happen at Oxford is a joke I don't get but that doesn't really matter. It's a typical Saunders/French episode which means it's very average. It starts off really slow but the last ten minutes or so make up for that. This time Saunders tried a Cajun accent and it sounds much like me trying a British accent, very bad. While I don't dislike this episode, it doesn't really feel like The Comic Strip when it's just French and Saunders. It's not bad but if you never see it, you aren't missing much.
