Quotes
-
Bobby Ewing : [Pamela's waiting up in bed, it's quarter past one already] Everybody's sleeping.
Pamela Barnes Ewing : For a couple of hours now.
Bobby Ewing : [takes off his jacket] I guess it's a little late, isn't it?
Pamela Barnes Ewing : Bobby, you knew Gary and Val were coming in today. The least you could've done was gotten home in time to see them.
Bobby Ewing : [sighs] Pam... I have problems.
Pamela Barnes Ewing : Ooh. Aside from being drunk and smeared with lipstick?
Bobby Ewing : [scoffs as his hand goes up towards his cheek] I can explain that.
Pamela Barnes Ewing : Oh, don't bother. I'm sure it was all for the good of Ewing Oil.
Bobby Ewing : I didn't do anything wrong.
Pamela Barnes Ewing : You know you're becoming more and more like your brother every day?
Bobby Ewing : That's not true.
Pamela Barnes Ewing : [gets up] I don't like it! If I'd wanted a J.R., I'd have married him!
-
Pamela Barnes Ewing : Alex, would you excuse me? I've got to see Lucy.
Alex Ward : Mrs. Ewing...
[she turns back]
Alex Ward : You can't run away forever.
[Pamela smiles]
-
Pamela Barnes Ewing : [Bobby's at the bar] Bobby... do you know Alex Ward? Alex, my husband Bobby Ewing.
Alex Ward : Hi.
[offers hand]
Bobby Ewing : [they shake hands] How are you?
Alex Ward : Your wife's an excellent dancer.
Bobby Ewing : Yes, I know.
Alex Ward : She's also very good at her job. We've done quite a lot of work together.
Bobby Ewing : I'm sure she's very good.
[continues drinking, just looks morose]
Alex Ward : Well, uh, thanks for the dance, Pam.
Pamela Barnes Ewing : Thank you, Alex.
Alex Ward : See you.
[goes off]
Pamela Barnes Ewing : [to Bobby:] Would you like to dance with an excellent dancer?
[Bobby just looks troubled]
Bobby Ewing : Not right now, honey.
[hands over empty glass to waiter:]
Bobby Ewing : Could you do this again?
Pamela Barnes Ewing : Would you mind if I danced with Alex?
Bobby Ewing : No. You go right ahead.
Pamela Barnes Ewing : Would you mind if I slept with Alex?
Bobby Ewing : Now what are you talking about?
Pamela Barnes Ewing : I just wondered if that would get me your attention.
Bobby Ewing : Not now, honey.
[shakes his head]
Pamela Barnes Ewing : Not now? When, Bobby? You work all day, and when you get home at night, you're too drunk or too tired.
Bobby Ewing : Well, not today. Today of all days I'm in no mood to get into a fight with you.
Pamela Barnes Ewing : Well, I'm in a great mood for a fight! For God's sake, why don't we just get it out in the open?
Bobby Ewing : Pamela, go dance. I have to find Daddy and J.R.
