Superstition deserves a good lambasting. At some point a short becomes ridiculous. The ridiculous is the point of this slapstick masterpiece series. Gene Siskel is right. If you get near water in comedy you fall in. It works with sprinklers, too. There's others who can get in on the lesson. It's a good episode for Mrs. Wilson and Dennis' mom. Gloria Henry doesn't get the screen time Herbert Anderson gets on this show. She's still fun to watch. It's hard to keep a straight face playing Mrs. Wilson. Both actresses, who played Wilson wives handle it well. And it's always good to make a boy happy. If only childhood challenges can be fixed as easily as a 60s TV series.
