Out and Lost in Time

There is an age-old question "Where does the time go?" This is another of my favorite episodes of the show. I really love this concept because it just goes to show how you can still do more with the time travel genre.

The physics of this world makes a strange sort of sense, if you're in a place where time has already passed it would mean there would be nothing at all to exist, because what's been done has truly passed. But unfortunately, Marchall isn't alone as we the episode is a bit of a fugitive thriller as there are these creepy Men in Black agents on his tale. The explanation of them really makes you think about the existence of these M. I. B.s.

In a way could almost be a bit of a wish fulfillment tale as Marchall along with Janet have something a lot of people their age desire total freedom. Liked the girl Janet (played by Nicki Cox) whom I thought was a decent character as we get a good feel for her being spunky and energetic. The back and forth between both Marchall and her was decent, really like that jacket she has on as it has lots of different kinds of patches, reminds me of the jacket from Ace in "Doctor Who". Sidenote just seeing those two can't help but think had there been a "Spider Man" film made in the 90's both these actors could of played the roles of Peter Parker/Spiderman and Mary Jane Watson.

The only bad thing about the episode was that it wasn't a two-part arc, which this show unfortunately lacks though didn't get a chance to have as this only had one season. It would of be awesome seeing Marchall and Janet explore and utilize their strange existence more but also maybe a few more sticky situations with the M. I. B.s. But most importantly would of loved to of seen more back and forth between both Marchall and the girl and see it possibly blossom into something more.

But oh well this is just a little quibble I have and being an early 90's show story arcs weren't really all that common at the time. There is also a little twist at the end which might be a little predictable for anyone that's seen enough time travel stories, but it was still interesting and filled you with a lot of questions.

Can Marchall and Janet get back in time before they run all out of time; you just have to wait and see.
