See David Cassidy about 6 months before he became Keith Partridge.

The story begins in a small town where a vigilant sheriff notices an unusual car and does a license check. It turns out that the car was stolen and the sheriff and his deputies and up giving chase. It all culminates in a shootout. One of the bank robber/murderers is killed, the other shot...but is able to escape. The FBI joins the local police in a manhunt. But finding Victor Kiley (Gerald O'Loughlin) isn't easy, because he's taken a mother and her teenage son (David Cassidy) captive and is posing as their uncle. They are forced to cooperate as he has a gun on them and law enforcement cannot just rush in and take Kiley once they realize what has happened, of the family will be killed.

This is a very good episode of "The F.B.I." and it's interesting to see Cassidy just before he became famous with "The Partridge Family". It's also interesting to note that here and on "The Partridge Family" Cassidy plays a teen (16 in this episode) but in reality he was 20.

I enjoyed the tension, the interesting relationship between the mother and son as well as the ending. All in all, not much to dislike!
