When this episode begins, a couple crooks in stocking masks crash a party and hold the lady of the house captive as they rob the guests. However, when one of the guests stabs one of the kidnappers, his partner shoots the guest--killing him. Then, they abduct Mrs. Daley (Anne Baxter)....making it a federal crime. Now the FBI becomes involved and are trying to save the woman as well as bring the men to justice. But it becomes tougher when they head into the New Mexican desert.
I really enjoyed this episode...and most of it was because unlike most similar shows, the lady hostage was NOT some simpering idiot waiting to be killed. She was smart and had a lot of ingenuity....a nice change of pace and a very exciting episode.
By the way, I nearly gave this one a 10. But there was a sloppy scene where the lady is running about the desert with no shoes on....and her feet were bloody. Well, if you look (and not all that carefully) you can see in some scenes she is wearing flesh colored sandals...and they were sloppy in not catching this or keeping the camera off her feet.
