Very similar to an episode of "Hawaii Five-O" only 6 months later.

When I watched "The Mechanized Accomplice", it sure felt familiar. After all, I remembered seeing an episode of "Hawaii Five-O" ("Tiger By the Tail") with a plot that was too similar. Of the two, the "Hawaii Five-O" one was a bit more interesting...but they both are worth seeing.

Gus (Bobby Sherman) is the son of a rich older man. Despite this, he's not happy because his parents are too controlling....so he decides to run away with the help of a friend. The problem is that he doesn't realize that this friend is only helping him in order to kidnap him. And, this 'friend' is a convicted murderer! Some friend!

I enjoyed seeing the 60s-70s pop icon in this episode. Apart from seeing him, it was quite good...though what happens to the kidnapper...well, that's something you'd NEVER predict! Worth your time.
