The Big Fix (#1.17)

I got a bit of trouble understanding the Urkel thing. I do see why Laura doesn't want to date him, but why is her family so against him for being a nerd? Even though he is a clumsy nerd one would think her parents would be thrilled about her dating him! Parents usually love nerds big time, or maybe it was different back then?

Well some of the scenes were pretty funny. Especially the ones in the restaurant. It was already funny that a thirteen year old couple went to such a restaurant, must be Urkel's idea of dating. I also loved how he convinced Laura into giving him a kiss on a cheek. So cute! And want also was great is that at the end there wasn't much hostility towards him from Laura and she actually decided that it was funny

And I can't forget to mention how incredibly funny and adorable Carl looked on his small chair!

Steve and Laura's first date

Warning: Spoilers
The Steve/Laura thing was still new at this point. You could believe that she was as turned off to Steve as she claimed. Then, what happens? She agrees to go out with him. There are conditions set in place, and Laura says it is a "non-date." I guess the kiss she gave him was a "non-kiss." Even this early in the series, Laura was contradicting herself. Wherever we are in the series, I just love watching these two together. I know that Urkel wasn't on the page at first. However the decision was made, the Steve/Laura thing became essential to the show. I think the "nerd" thing was taken a little too far. Steve and Laura had chemistry. It was a nice thing to watch, and it didn't need so much craziness surrounding it.

So, Steve finally gets the spotlight on the show.

I loved the show before he came on, and adding him is like the cherry on top. The moment where he's talking about how his late with Laura might potentially be his last was super heartbreaking. What a turn just a few seconds later! Haha
