Tips for a Better Life (#7.16)

Warning: Spoilers
Urkel needs some money to pay Carl for another destruction so he works as Stephan in a restaurant playing jazz music.

Eddie starts drinking at frat parties and Carl is upset so he kicks Eddie out.

I think the restaurant part where Laura and Stefan sing together is beautiful. But it is a boring story. And I am tired of Stefan, there is nothing great about him and all those women go crazy when he is around makes no sense

I can't stand those drinking stories.Preachy and ridiculous to the point that they will drive the teens it is supposed to teach a lesson into a different direction

Good Life Lesson

This is one of the more serious episodes of the series and I thought it was really good. Not sure why someone would give it a 5. I expected this one to be at the top of the ratings list.

Eddie learns his lesson
gcanfield-297276 July 2020
Eddie comes home drunk, and Carl issues a stern warning. If you read my reviews of other episodes, you'll notice that I am partial to Steve/Laura themes. In this episode, the part about Eddie's drinking problem is better. Waldo has some good moments, when he actually seems more level-headed than Eddie! Carl is a tough but loving father. This may be the only episode in which someone other than Steve or Laura made me emotional. The segment with Laura singing to Stefan is good. Ironically, she sings the same Whitney Houston song that Steve did for her, back in Season 4. Laura looked better with her long hair, but she's still the best.
