While shopping for fish at the San Juan waterfront markets for the convent's dinner, Sisters Bertrille and Jacqueline unknowingly bring back a woman, Bobbye Starr (Maureen Arthur), hiding in their station wagon. She has runaway with valuable jewels and furs from mob figure Albion 'Al' Caine (Herb Edelman, "The Golden Girls") who vows to find her. Bobbye asks for asylum and begins working as a poorly performing secretary for Reverend Mother Placido. Al and his henchman Leo (Jack Riley, "The Bob Newhart Show") traces the station wagon back to the convent. When Al talks to Bobbye she wants to go back to him, but wants him to ask her to marry. Sister Bertrille says another man may shake him up and talks Carlos into playing the part. When Sister Bertrille learns who Al is she fears for their safety.
