In his 2017 autobiography, Lou Antonio writes, "David Janssen couldn't have been more fun or professional. And Brenda Vaccaro helped make it a hoot and a good shoot."
On a March 2013 radio interview, Chris Robinson said that this was one of his favorite shows. "It was fantastic. I had more fun because it was such a stretch from having played the super brilliant, perfect crime statistician, to a guy who couldn't remember his own name. It was fantastic. I loved the part." When asked for his memories of David Janssen, Chris immediately said that David was a nice man, that he knew his lines, and that "He was playing a strong human being that was pursuing something, and he was good. Excellent. Excellent to work with."
A couple of firsts: This is the first time Lou Antonio works with David Janssen on The Fugitive (1963). He would do two more: Never Wave Goodbye: Part 2 (1963) and The Devil's Disciples (1966). And this is the first time that Brenda Vaccaro works with David Janssen. She would later do two feature films with him: Where It's At (1969) and Once Is Not Enough (1975).
Lou Antonio had great memories of working with David Janssen. Some of his quotes from a 2018 radio interview: "David was just easy going. Having a good time. I never saw him forget a line. He was just wonderful. He was always honest and authentic when you acted with him. Cause he was that way as a person."
