- Narrator: [Epilog Closing Narration. Viewers see Richard Kimble walking down a road, hoping for a car to come so he can thumb a ride] For some people, like Larry, there is justice tempered with mercy: a sentence of five years, suspended. For Richard Kimble, there is no understanding judge. He must find his own justice.
- Dr. Richard Kimble: He's still in a coma.
- Sheriff Ben Corby: He'll come out of it.
- Dr. Richard Kimble: You learn that in your first aid class?
- Larry Corby: Why don't you leave me alone, Dad, I'm not a kid anymore.
- Sheriff Ben Corby: I know. I offered you a job as a deputy, didn't I? Could have been a big future for you.
- Larry Corby: I don't want to be a cop.
- Sheriff Ben Corby: You got something against cops?
- Larry Corby: Everything I say, you twist it.
- Sheriff Ben Corby: But you stole a car. Made the attempt.
- Larry Corby: I had to do it. I was in a jam.
- Sheriff Ben Corby: You didn't have to do this.
- Larry Corby: Please don't be a cop now. I never asked you to do anything before. Please help me.
- Deputy Harry Banner: You don't look very comfortable, Mr. Parker.
- Dr. Richard Kimble: Anyone ever look comfortable in here?
- Deputy Harry Banner: If they've got nothing to hide.
- Larry Corby: What are you doing here?
- Sheriff Ben Corby: Larry, he's gonna help you.
- Larry Corby: I need a doctor.
- Sheriff Ben Corby: He's a doctor.
- Larry Corby: No he works at the store.
- Dr. Richard Kimble: Your father's right. I'm a doctor.
- Sheriff Ben Corby: Larry was always a good healer. I remember once he cut his arm.
- Dr. Richard Kimble: This is different.
- Sheriff Ben Corby: What do you mean? What are you trying to tell me?
- Dr. Richard Kimble: That just taking the bullet out doesn't change things. He's still a sick boy.
- Deputy Harry Banner: Who doctored him, Sheriff?
- [pause as they glance at one another]
- Deputy Harry Banner: Hospital said it was a professional job. Only a doctor could have performed that surgery. It was Kimble, wasn't it?
- Sheriff Ben Corby: Harry, I'm guilty of harboring a fugitive. Now, what's the difference whether there was one or two of them?
