The title refers to Greenwich Village which in 1950's was where artists lived in a bohemian lifestyle that catered to coffeehouses and beatniks who like to render their poetry and music (mostly guitar) in front of small appreciative audiences.
This episode's vaudeville Afterpiece is titled "Aunt Clara's Husbands." This was a lengthy routine in which Gracie spoke about each of Clara's nine husbands - they only had time for five of them, so it was continued the following week.
