Last Time I saw Ferris

Warning: Spoilers
Although the Chief is still missing (apparently Ed Platt was suffering from back problems) Arne Sultan is back and gives season three a big boost. Max meets a woman in a graveyard who promises to turn over the goods on a KAOS killer (and show business agent) named Mondebello (Then Wyenn) for $50,000. However under further investigation the woman turns out to be a dead witness named Ann Ferris (Ina Balin, who co-starred with Jerry Lewis in "The Patsy"). Smart and 99 investigate further, going to the show biz offices of Mondebello where they have a funny encounter with a dumb blonde receptionist and meet Vogel (Len Lesser, Uncle Leo from "Seinfeld") who directs them to Ferris' mom. This leads to a séance back in Smart's apartment where his poker table is a little long for séances. This episode puts the show back to where it was with a funny open where Max's keen mind can't seem to get Ferris' name right and inspired jokes throughout. The episode suffers from a fairly weak ending, the absence of Platt (Agent 37--Bryon Morrow replaces him for no explained reason) but it is well written, funny and is true to the show's characters.

One of my favorite and funniest of episodes

This is just a brilliant episode with so many great lines from beginning to end and actually with a great mystery plot. And another episode with the great Len Lesser (Uncle Leo in Seinfeld) he did 3. This one he couldn't do the torture. This is seriously Get Smart at its best if you've never seen an episode (how could you not though where have you been?) this is one of the episodes which is a must see. One of the reasons that Get Smart is the best sitcom ever made apart from the hilarious lines is the casting, the casting of even the most smallest character was perfection. In this one, one of the best lines comes from the ditzy receptionist at Montebello's office. Max (to receptionist) .... Could you tell me about this? Receptionist... Yes it's a cigarette lighter. Max ... I mean what can you tell me about letters? Receptionist... Well I'm new here but I'd say that was a an A and that is an F.

It's just gold like that throughout!
