Tom and Barbara need manure and lots of it. While they are debating where would be the best place to get some the answer comes to them in a flash, in the form of Margo arriving home in full riding gear, helmet and crop to boot.
Tom and Barbara approach Margo with a request she asks the people in her pony club if they could have their manure, yet Margo's reaction is brusque and sharp and orders Tom and Barbara in no uncertain terms, to stay well away from the stables and threatens an end to their friendship should they go.
In true Tom and Barbara fashion they go there anyway with a request that their manure gathering antics are kept a secret from Margo, yet both Tom and Barbara are shocked when they are told that Margo has not ridden there for weeks. Now the reason for her outburst is becoming clearer.
Their suspicions are further aroused when they see Margo's car pull up in the high street and see her enter a property with a green door, with no number, name or sign.
