An anticlimactic final battle scene, but those dummy's sure do have a certain creep factor. Final cliffhanger was the perfect mixture of absurd and weird.

One of the best episodes of Goosebumps

There are many good Goosebumps episodes, and this is one of them. I watched this episode today, and I enjoyed it throughout its running time. Goosebumps has always been apart of childhoods, throughout the 90's and horror fanatics alike. Goosebumps is a great show, whilst it pails in comparison to most stuff nowadays in terms of Cgi and graphics, it doesn't lack in Scares and entertainment. So let's take a deep dive into the world of Goosebumps.

This episode starts off with some eery music, whilst focusing on Trina. And the loud racket outside, what could it be. Trina goes and investigates to find out its just Daniel playing a prank, well turns out it's not. It's Dad!, and he's brought another creepy looking Dull into the house, in the name of Slappy, who's face is half broken. Once you read the little piece of paper Slappy holds, he then comes to life. What I love about the first 5 minutes of this episode, is the characters relationship between one another. Throwing practical jokes on one another. And Just having that family bond between them all, it just makes for perfect chemistry, and some funny jokes from the dad.

However, all of the jokes will have to stop, because Zayn ( a young Annakin Skywalker, and their cousin ) does not like practical jokes. And I like the imagery that shows a horrible practical joke on Zayn, and how they all have a little giggle and laugh about it. It's all very interesting stuff, with some great dialogue because of the families close bond between each other. Showcasing a bit of a character Foyle, as Zayn doesn't do practical jokes, he's easily scared and manipulated because of his relentless awkwardness and because he gets get too easily.

But, as Zayn arrives. He takes some pictures, and he's very good at photography. He takes pictures of Trina, and stores it in his collection, only to then be jumped by the doll, a direct Character Foyle. Which is also what makes this episode so great, the family dynamic. And how part 1 utilises this with Zayn coming round. The next day he tries to show them his pictures he proudly did for them. Only to find out it was actually a big waste of time, and they are all messed up.

So then more tricks get played on by Zayn, and Daniel and Trina are all in denial, acting innocent. A regular trope in the Goosebumps universe. They are shocked to find out their parents don't believe them and they are then punished because of it. So they both do a devious plan, and try and get one another in the act, only to find out the joke has been played on by them, Zayn. His masterful plan had seemed to be working. They find out it's him, and he's then having to do some chores.

Part 2,

Part two is them becoming the best of friends, after a rocky start (no pun intended) and decide to watch Horror movies all night, as their mother and father go out for a night. Only to then find out, Slappy is Alive. Now this is wear the episode then plays out crazily, Rocky being one of Slappys slaves is also very present in this episode. Slappy tries to turn the kids into Dolls, but they chuck him in a Well before he can cause more havoc, or so they thought. Turns out he's not stopping. And manages to turn Zayn into one.

I like wear Trina is trying to tell Rocky how important he is to Dad, so Slappy can't treat him like a slave. Even Slappys magic couldn't deal with this situation. Treating that person with respect, again another little Character Foyle. Showcasing how horrible Slappy is to the other dolls, and controlling them. Rocky then saves the day, by getting rid of Slappy. Throwing him on the roof, wear he gets electrified. And the plot-twist at the end, wear Zayn turns his head at a 360 degrees angle.

Would I recommend this episode?

Yes, indeed 9/10 Very Entertaining throughout, with a perfect script and good character moments throughout, easy fun watch.
