In Search of a Rose was a stroll through village relationships, business ambitions, old truths coming to the surface. The episode is full of stories that are in no hurry to be told, but the viewer is invited to join the journey. The requisite case to be solved comes late in the episode and is more about the people than the crime. No big shocks (an early "mystery' can be guessed easily enough), but the people of Lockdubh drive and are the substance of the episode A nice visit.
