011-44-1. Yes, She's sure. Why aren't you?

This was a good one. Just about all the right elements to make a fun, compelling, and actiony episode. Jennifer ends up babysitting a wealthy Baron's abandoned Roulette winnings, and it all goes downhill for the Harts from there. Simon McCorckindale makes a pre-Manimal appearance as a croupier. Dr. Bombay also stops by in a fun little role. Plus, Bernard Fox guests, whom only the die hard Trekkie would recognize as Captain Picard's brother, Robert, from the 4th Season episode of Next Gen, "Family." Jennifer gets herself a bad knock on the head in a tussle following a suggestive bubble bath with Jonathan, so those two things alone are enough to make the H2H fangirls squeal. I always thought Simon was so cute when I was a kid. Now that I re watch this episode, I still think so. Hee! Anyhoo, throw in a wealthy Texan with intentions unknown, and this makes for an ep not so easy to figure out; had me guessing till the end. All along the way, stuff just didn't add up, and I just wasn't sure if any of the players were truly good guys or bad guys till the wrap up. And the stunts this time around were really great. Use of stunt Jonathan's were actually hard to determine, and it was plainly obvious when some of them were the actual actors. The one stunt that was most spectacular was when Jonathan climbs aboard the Helicopter as it's flying away. The only criticism I have there is that a) Jennifer wasn't mortified and screaming when he did so, cuz one wrong move and he was gonna be goner. And b) Jonathan has to ask Jennifer what the "area code" is for London, and when she tells him, he says, "are you sure?" As an Int'l business magnate, there is no way that he wouldn't know how to dial London, period. So, didn't love that direction. But on the other hand, all the brand name mentions were such a breath of fresh air. Hilton, Monopoly ... and I feel confident that this was before the time of product placement. The very very last scene in bed was adorable.

Million Dollar harts

Jennifer becomes involved in a deadly gambling scheme while in London. In a casino, Baron Destafnik ( Jeremy Kemp) asks Jennifer, who is alone as Jonathan is in a meeting, to pick a number at the roulette and she ends up making a million. The Baron leaves but tells her to look after the money. What follows is a trip back to USA, she then learns that the real money was switched and her case now contains monopoly money. As you can see its plot is full of twists, crooked policemen and action - the helicopter scene featuring Jonathan griping the skids is quite rousing. Simon McCorkindale.

Running With The Harts

I have always liked the show. It fit the LA 80s scene perfectly, and I believe I was in a position to know. I was an IBM Sales and Marketing Representative. Our branch Office was in the elite Century City area located at Little Santa Monica Blvd and Century Park East, Bev Hills, California. I covered West LA, Brentwood, Santa Monica and Malibu. Truth be known, it was one of the top affluent areas in our office, and admittedly, I was a perfect fit with all the industry people, many of my clients were major stars as well as the top law firms, well known Bev Hills doctors, lawyers in the top LA law firms and CPAs that all supported L. A.'s upscale crowd. Actually IBM assigned me to the area due to my ability, and my strengths in excellent customer relationships and my professional representation of IBM that I very much enjoyed. Many times IBM would select me to handle sensitive client situations. I was a member of the IBM Mentoring Program that was responsible for working with new IBM employees in my field of the business. An IBM mentor would be assigned to a new employee to assist them with learning our product line and our IBM culture for both our clients and to other IBMers, an opportunity I honored very much. In any event I am sure for all the reasons above and my own personal perspective on how to relate to other people, leads me to believe I would fit right in with the Harts, Max and even Freeway. I'm glad I was able to find the show on late night TV in Southern California.
