Suspected murderer Cassus, running from Hercules and the townspeople, takes refuge in an abandoned mine and triggers a cave-in. Trapped and severely injured, Cassus tells several different versions of the murder, as Hercules tries to help Cassus admit the truth and reconcile with his son.
