Major Nelson's bachelor party
kevinolzak28 November 2016
"Jeannie and the Bachelor Party" opens with Jeannie anxious to have Tony go shopping for her wedding dress, only for Roger to announce his bachelor party for the same evening. Despite his objections, Roger is determined to go ahead with it as a surprise, Dr. Bellows naively insisting on poker chips, cigars, and football films. Major Nelson is lured to NASA by a 'top secret' meeting, where several girls have gathered, waiting for the fun to begin, and even General Schaeffer shows up in the belief that tomorrow's planned meeting is tonight. Jeannie trusts her Anthony, but Mrs. Bellows intends to spoil the party and expose her husband. Easily the funniest of the six episodes preceding "The Wedding," featuring an instrumental take on The Monkees' "Your Auntie Grizelda" also heard in "Never Put a Genie on a Budget."

One of my favourites of Season 5

What a fantastic episode from the last year of the series' run. A clever and very funny script followed by great acting makes this a classic. I thought Emmaline Henry (Amanda Bellows) really did an exceptional job and her facial reaction when she discovers her suspicious about the bachelor party are right is hilarious. Give this episode a watch - you won't be disappointed! :)
