Robert Hogan and Bill McKinney

"The Solid Gold Jeannie" guest stars Robert Hogan as Commander Leslie Wingate, who remains in the isolation lab for three weeks with Tony and Roger following their mission in the lunar module (this is the same character previously played by Richard Mulligan in "Around the World in 80 Blinks"). Jeannie blinks herself into the chamber to embrace her husband and must remain for the duration to avoid any possible contamination. Wingate sees the tiny Jeannie and assumes that they brought back an alien creature from the moon! Tony manages to convince him that what he saw was his golden trophy, so Jeannie must assume the right color costume and size to simulate the ruse, which also includes Alfred and Amanda Bellows. Shirley Bonne, from the Larry Buchanan feature "It's Alive!" and STAR TREK's "Shore Leave," plays her final role as Wingate's pregnant wife, while veteran Bill McKinney was making only his second TV appearance as an unnamed sterilization crewman with two lines.
