John B. Cannon : Come over here. Let me take a look at your hands.

Alexander Mundy : My hands?

John B. Cannon : Your hands.

John B. Cannon : Charley was right. You don't have the hands of a sailor. I took your prints and found out who you were.

Alexander Mundy : Well, I hope they spoke kindly.

John B. Cannon : You're a thief. Alexander Mundy. A very accomplished thief.

Alexander Mundy : Well, let's say that I know my business as well as you know yours.

John B. Cannon : That's what intrigued me. That's why I didn't have you thrown out of the house. Board of Health. Ha! Clever idea, but it didn't work. A ruse. Part of the puzzle. A thief of international repute makes his way into my house, decides to stay for days, and steals nothing.
