Jemima is caught up in a strange set of circumstances on the set of a horror movie, she is also delighted to appear on Dessert Island Discs.
What an incredibly dreary and dull mystery this is, it's like a rejected script from Murder, she wrote, with Jemima playing the part of Jessica Fletcher, only it makes the adventures in Cabot Cove seem entirely plausible.
Nothing comes to life or intrigues, it ambles on in shades of grey, not once sparking into life. An effort to shock with a bit of nudity falls totally flat.
It looks and feels cheap, the sets, music (apart from the horror introduction, a familiar tune) and lighting all seem off.
This has the pace of a 1983 Datsun Cherry, and it as equally boxy and uninspiring. The ending, the big finale is almost laughable.
Even the wonderful Patricia Hodge can't save this one, graceful and elegant as you'd expect, but even such a skilled talent can't inject any life into this clunker. Why on Earth did they dress her up in such ghastly and old fashioned clothes, the 80's had so much glamour, there's precious little to behold here.
Look out for a young Lynette Anthony playing Mary, she's actually not bad. Two very well known actors, Brian Cox, is half decent as Hamish, and Don Henderson is genuinely abysmal, a good actor, but he's too busy hamming it up here as Conrad Coleman.
4/10.
