Excellent Episode
Squiggyforever26 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was very Squiggy Centric and revolved around the relationship between "Andy" and his father. After being absent in his son's life Helmut returns and tries to insert himself in his adult son's life. At first Squig is happy about his dad wanting to be in his life but alas it wasn't happening and 29 year old Andy finds out the hard way that dear ol' dad hadn't changed. We see our darling Squggy have a one on one convo with his father after realizing he had not changed. Luckily Lenny saw through everything and as usual things worked out in the end. This episode shows just how much both boys have grown up over the years. Once a con man always a con man.

Squiggy and Lenny time

This is mainly about Squiggy's relationship with his dad. I felt sorry for him his father is not a good man. And poor Lenny is shoved aside, I don't know why the dad doesn't like him. It's one of the best Lenny and Squiggy episodes.

Another Lenny and Squiggy episode
LaverneandShirleysucks10 April 2022
The girls are gone in less than 5 minutes never to be seen again. Then we deal with the arrival of Squiggy's Dad who left him when he was 9.

On a general level, the episode works. But on a "Laverne & Shirley" level, it doesn't because Squiggy is extremely out of character here.

After 7 seasons seeing him acting like someone with the mentality of a 6 year old child, suddenly we see him acting and talking like a mature adult and it's jarring to see.

The writers should've shown more of a balance of his character over the seasons for this episode to work because you can't have a character continuously play a childlike buffoon for years and then suddenly have him appear as an intelligent adult.

I did like the episode even without the girls, and especially the dramatic scene between Squiggy and his Dad at the end, but I feel we should've seen this side of Squiggy's character more throughout the series for it to work. It was still an ok episode though. I give it a 6.
