Wally and Eddie are trying to find weekend jobs, their search so far without success as all positions they apply for require previous experience. Somewhat reluctantly for Eddie, Ward vows to speak to his friend, Ted Worden, at Mayfield Dairy if there are jobs available there for the boys. Following their interviews, both Wally and Eddie are hired to work at the shipping dock of the dairy's plant, although Eddie has thoughts of grandeur above the manual labor they are asked to perform for the job. While Wally just wants to go about doing the work, Eddie believes that buttering up the foreman is the way to get ahead. In his mind, Eddie is achieving his goal as he believes the foreman is providing him with extra favors. What Eddie and Wally are unaware of is that Eddie's actions have the potential to get them both fired.
