Not the best.

Warning: Spoilers
Contains spoilers. The story involves Lt. Rice being hit by a drunk driver causing temporary paralysis and then recovery from the damage to his spine. He meets a perky girl patient that helps him through the crisis, but they fall completely I-want-to-marry-you in love. The hitch is, the poor kid's got an unfortunate head disease that's going to kill her. we spend most of the programme awash in tragic love that cannot be, down to a final sad scene where her last words are about the life and kids they might have had....Boo Hoo! Lockwood could squeeze out some tears, though, so I guess that shows he's a good actor! The whole thing is too write-by-the-numbers easy, like an unused script intended for MGM's hospital life series, Dr. Kildare. It's very soap opera style manipulative, and has nothing about it that could specifically pertain to a Marine, or happen only in a service hospital. This could have been just another day at Blair Memorial, and the patient could have been a house painter or a taxi driver.
